The valsesian flies

Beauty, simplicity, effectiveness.

Traditional Valsesian flies are the result of centuries of fly fishing in the Italian alps.

Hook with a big gap, soft hackles and, of course, the natural silk that gives an uncomparable brightness to the fly, are parts of the recipe of a very effective solution. Moreover the combination of three or more flies along the tip, result in a deadly weapon.

I had the chance to learn the secrets of those flies in Valsesia from the Valsesian fishermans. Traditionally used with the tipical valsesian rod and horse hair line, I’ve used it with tenkara rods, valsesian rods, bait fishing rods, fly fishing rods, with great results.

Here you are, my valsesian flies.
